Mayco Eliminating Leaded Glazes
Beginning in January 2009 Mayco will be eliminating lead bearing products from their glaze lines.  Some products will be discontinued, some reformulated and some have equivalents in the existing line.  Many of the Art Glazes already have an equivalent in the Series 2000 or Stroke & Coat families.  There are some matches for the Exotics in the Element line but most of them will be discontinued.  24 of the Jungle Gems have been reformulated and will have a new label in the near future.  The conversions are as close as possible to the originals but there may be some noticeable changes.  Those Jungle Gems not reformulated will be discontinued.

If you wish to purchase quantities of leaded glazes that are being discontinued, you may place orders until December 20.  They will only be available in pints or gallons.

DunPureBrill

From Duncan

Duncan proudly introduces Pure Brilliance Clear Glaze.  It has the forgiveness of clear glazes that contain lead but is non-toxic!  It has a shine and clarity like no other non-toxic clear glaze on the market.  It tacks up at the right pace to allow drips and runs to be minimized while overall dry time is fast to allow you to get pieces in the kiln right away.  It dries stable to minimize dust while handling, makes your underglaze colors “pop” and has the craze resistance like no other non-toxic glaze!  It will be available early September in brush-on and dipping formulas.
